THE END IS NEAR?

OH NO! NOT YOUR SINATRA SONG. I mean, the tumbling American economy, the repository of financial confidence are all but good news to the heart and the mind that could not figure out what had just happened. Where's our Ivy League rs, financial geniuses, and economic experts. Can they defy the prophecy of the second coming, whaaaam! kaaboong! Goodbye, sweetie pie! Who will have a happy ending and who will be left behind? Would I know your name? Oh no! if your not in heaven!! Hey Billy, ' hope your still smiling after this.

Talo na nga ba si Obama!

Nasaan na ang mga palakpak, nasaan na ang mga halakhak at mga papuri sa bagong pag-asa ng bayan. Latest polls suggest an alarming trend for the democratic party presidential candidate. Maraming katanungan, ngunit ang isa sa pinakakatakutang katotohanan. Is America ready to embrace a black leader? A leader that will carry a symbol of repository of all the powers that American society is wiling t convey to this man.
Baloney!!, Hillary is correct from the very beginning, Barry has no chance from the very start!

Most Requested!

One of my most requested recipes, this cassava cake is mega special. Included in the recipe are coconut strings (macapuno) and condensed milk.

Ingredients are:
  • 2 packages of frozen grated cassava
  • 2 cans of coconut milk
  • 2 egg yolks! (yoke only) ha! ha! ha!
  • 1 bottle of coconut string (macapuno)
  • 1 can of condensed milk
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Procedure:

1. Defrost grated cassava

2. In a big mixing bowl, mix, using wooden spoon, grated cassava, coconut milk, egg yolk, coconut string, and 2/3 can of condensed milk. Mix until lumps of grated cassava disappear.

3. Grease your baking pan. Pour the mixture in a not too shallow baking pan (rectangular size) and add a teaspoon of vanilla extract.

4. Bake in a 350 degree oven for about an hour and a half (90 min). Check for consistency, by using toothpick inserted in the middle.

5. Spread the remaining 1/3 can of condensed milk and bake the cake for additional 10 minutes at 400 degrees.

6. Enjoy!!

Oh My! Oh My!

This is how I would define a love song. Not your ordinary "I will make you happy tonight, baby" song, one that separates "Men" from mere "fly by nights". Honey, this one's for you. Enjoy!!

Best Steak House in Town

For a meat lover like me, I just can't help but to browse through the best steak houses in Vegas.

I like it medium rare, a little bit juicy and of course, classified as USDA PRIME, if affordable. A little bit of seasoning but don't put any salt, pure salt is what I mean. Drop it in a high heat skillet and let it sizzle to perfection.
I have learned a great deal about cooking steak and finally convinced myself that the best steak house is in "MY HOUSE"
Bon Appetit!!

After 30+ years

After 30+ years, my first meeting with my classmate Wilma (from grade school). Like wine, we both aged with so much intense taste in lifestyles and attitudes. So intoxicating that we were able to wander to the time when life was so simple, so naive and yet so elusive for us to experience in this new and complicated world of upscale opulence and pompous display of sophistication. The backdrop at "Bellagio" in Las Vegas, is a far cry from our humble beginnings but come to think of it, if given the choice, we definitely would vote out "Bellagio" and give San Isidro a "five star!!"
